Daryl & Jessica Engagement Teaser | California State University Stanislaus | Turlock, CA

10 solid years. A relationship for that long is very rare in today’s world. It was lovely to see the interaction between Daryl and Jessica during our golden hour shoot in Turlock, CA. Shooting at Stan State University, the trees are fading in color and constantly losing their beautiful fall leaves. Thankfully there are some spots here and there of reds, greens, and yellows.

Engagement season is upon us as many friends and family gather around for the holidays…providing a perfect opportunity for wonderful things to happen. However, this was not the case for Daryl and Jessica. Unlike most couples, Daryl and Jessica have been married for some time now, but have never had a traditional wedding ceremony and reception. They decided to change that and include their two little ones: Christian and Makenzie.

The first thing Christian said to me was, “Hi, I’m Christian and I like dinosaurs- Rawr!” I thought it was so cute. Kiddos make any sessions fun. Daryl and Jessica were smart to bring Grandpa and Grandpa along to entertain the kids and take them under their wing during the second half of the session. This gave them alone time and also a wonderful excuse to go on a date afterward. That’s a score in my book!

This is a busy time of year: holidays, holiday parties, family and end of the year activities. Do not forget to remember to enjoy the present and cherish each moment and experience you have with those closest to you.
