Jessica and Joseph both attended and met at Calvary Chapel Modesto. Both attending the same small group during the week, God brought them together. Having also been proposed to in the fellowship hall of Calvary Chapel’s sanctuary building, it was fitting that they would choose to be married at the same place.
When I meet with Jessica and Joseph, she already had a vision for what her day was going to look like and the colors she picked out. Drawing her inspiration from her two favorite Disney princesses Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast, Jessica chose royal blue, red, and gold for her decor and wedding party’s color pallet saying that “It was a romantic feel that [she] was going for.”
Jessica expressed that she had never hired a photographer before and had the fear that whoever she hired weren’t going to show up. We kept in contact leading to their wedding day, making sure that we didn’t miss any details. In light of her fear, Jessica was able to relax seeing that we were there before she even arrived at the venue.
From the beginning, Jessica’s utmost desire was to capture the face of herself and especially Joseph when she walks down the aisle. I recommended adding a second shooter to their package to make sure that that precious moment wasn’t missed. Jessica said the following about her favorite part of the wedding,
“When I walked down the aisle and saw my husband-to-be waiting for me, nothing matter more than that. I knew that in mind that Karissa was there to catch the most important day of our lives.”
From getting ready, the ceremony, family portraits, and through the reception, Joseph and Jessica were all smiles through and through. My personal favorite was their first dance. Dancing to The Way You Smile by Newson ft. Francesca Battistelli, there were smiles, laughter, twirls and swirls that ended with a clean dip by Joseph and a sweet smooch.
The whole event was beautiful with how God orchestrated everything together to bless the newly weds. Thank you, Jessica and Joseph, for letting me capture your special day! Pray blessings upon your marriage.
